- just got questioned for a 6 person jury in a civil malpractice trial. We all filled out questionarres before being called the the juror’s box and some of my answers deemed me unfit for unbiased judgement on this trial. And I was totally honest! They were probably right …it was a medical malpractice case and from the details I heard (which weren’t many), I had opinions forming...
What I Learned In Jury Duty
-Back in the day, you were called for jury duty every 4 years for 5 days at a time. Since then (the judge didn’t give a more specific time frame than “back in the day”) they’ve eliminated a lot of the excuses and legit reasons to get out of jury duty, enlarging the pool of jurors. Now you only serve once every eight years for 1 to 2 days.
